Earl Moore, 87
June 12, 1939 – October 25, 2026
Earl Herman Moore, lovingly known as “Duck” to his close family and friends, passed away Oct. 25, 2026, at Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida. He was 87.
LIFE
Born June 12, 1939, in Robbins, Earl was the son of Arvil Leamon Moore Sr. and Carrie Foster Byrd. He was a hardworking man who spent his life providing for and caring for the people he loved. He dedicated 30 years of hard work to HBD Industries before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of determination, dedication, and a strong work ethic. Above all, Earl was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was also a born-again Christian whose faith was an important part of his life. He loved going to church, and his relationship with the Lord was a source of comfort and hope. His family takes comfort in God’s promises and the blessed assurance of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Earl found joy in the simple things in life. He enjoyed woodworking, and his favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing. He was a man who worked hard all his life, and his legacy of perseverance, faith, and devotion to family will continue through the generations who loved him. One of the greatest blessings of Earl’s life was his beloved wife, Anna Rose Byrd Moore. Together, they shared 65 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, commitment, and countless memories. Their life together will forever be a treasured part of their family’s story. Earl’s cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren will forever hold a special place for their Pawpaw Duck in their hearts. His love, memories, and the time they shared will always be treasured. Though he may be gone from their sight, he will never be forgotten.
Though Earl’s passing leaves a space in the lives of those who loved him, his memory will live on through family gatherings, cherished photographs, stories shared, and the countless reminders of the man he was. As a born-again Christian, Earl leaves behind a legacy of faith and the hope of a heavenly reunion. His family can take comfort in knowing that God’s promises extend beyond this earthly life and in the hope of seeing him again in Heaven.
