Crystal Y. Byrd, age 53, departed this life on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026.
LIFE
Born Jan. 12, 1973, Crystal was the daughter of Clarence Carroll and the late Glouis June Carroll.

• Sister-in-law: Sherry Carroll.

• Husband: Ronald Byrd.
• Father: Clarence Carroll.
• Children: Jonathan Byrd, and Matthew and wife Ashley.

• Brothers: Clarence Dempsey Carroll, and Christopher Carroll and wife Shannon.

Pearl Kidd, 83
Oneida
January 3, 1943 – August 7, 2026
Pearl Storey Kidd, age 83 of Oneida, passed away on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, at the Oneida Nursing Center, surrounded by family.
LIFE
Born in the Robbins community on Jan. 3, 1943, Pearl was the daughter to the late Ples and Arizona Ellis Storey. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and granny. She was a member of Black Oak Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending her time sewing and quilting along with spending time with her great grandbabies.

• Sisters: Glois Storey, Delma (Charles) Jones and Mary Martha (Freddy) Phillips.

Judy Luzader, 69
Knoxville, Tenn.
August 17, 1956 – August 7, 2026
Judy Kay Phillips Luzader, age 69, of Knoxville, Tenn., passed away on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
LIFE
Born Aug. 17, 1956, in Oneida, Judy was the daughter of the late Rev. Arvil Phillips and Joyce Walker Phillips of the Highpoint community. She graduated from Oneida High School in 1976. She was married for several years to the late William Luzader Jr., who was the father of her children. What Judy cherished most in life were her children, Bill and Becky. In times of financial stress, she often went without to ensure that they had what they needed.Judy always had a smile on her face. We remember her hugs, the stories we shared, and her advice in our times of trouble. She always had a hand to help and a shoulder to cry on. She loved her family, and going for long walks with her dog, Rocky. She also loved church activities, especially singing. Judy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Marlanea Rhoden, 48
Helenwood
December 30, 1977 – August 8, 2026
Marlanea Rhoden, 48, of Helenwood, passed away peacefully on Aug. 8, 2026, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn.
LIFE
Born Dec. 30, 1977, Marlanea was the daughter of Glen and Oma “Cookie” Harness. She was a woman who could light up any room. She will forever be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her kind and giving heart, and, above all, her unwavering faith. She had a way of making people laugh, making people feel loved, and reminding those around her of the importance of faith, family, and kindness. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Marlanea was a loving wife, mother, nana, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Though her time here was not nearly long enough, the love she gave was more than enough to last a lifetime. Marlanea will be deeply missed, forever loved, and most importantly never forgotten. Her family takes comfort in knowing that her faith carried her through this life and that she is now at peace in the arms of the Lord.
